The Infectious Diseases (ID) clinic provides investigation and management of a wide range of infections and infection-associated conditions, including but not limited to:
- Common infectious diseases such as:
- Pneumonia
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin and soft tissue infections
- Bone infections
- Diabetic foot infections
- Meningitis and encephalitis
- Outpatient antimicrobial therapy (OPAT)
- Healthcare associated infections such as MRSA, Clostridium Difficile infection, vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE)
- Fever of unknown origin
- Endocarditis
- Viral hepatitis
- Tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI)
- Lyme disease and tick borne illnesses
- Infection management in immunocompromised patients
- Congential immunodeficiency
- HIV infection
- Treatment induced immunodeficiency including chemotherapy and immunosuppressive agents
