The GUIDE Clinic has an active research department which participates in research on HIV, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) and Infectious Diseases. Any member of the medical team, or the research nurse will be more than happy to give you information on current trials and research studies that are currently recruiting. It is very important to remember that there is no pressure to take part in any studies in order to access treatment.
Research is a very important part of understanding disease; it helps us to improve our understanding and treatment of diseases. There are many different research projects ongoing in The GUIDE Clinic and you may be invited to become involved. Ethical approval is obtained prior to carrying out any research.
We are introducing online bookings for the Guide Clinic. For the initial Phase of the project, we are only catering for Non-Symptom STI Screening Tests and PrEP clinic appointments. We will look to bring other Appointment Types online soon, but for now only those patients with no symptoms can book online. For all other patients please see the Coming to See Us area of the website.
