Fast Track Clinic

Fast-Track - No Examination Necessary Clinic - this service is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday morning.

If you have a lump or bump, pain or discharge you are advised not to avail of this fast-track service.

Not everyone who attends the clinic needs to be examined.  If you have not noticed anything wrong and have not been in contact with someone who has an infection, you may be interested in doing a very easy self-taken test that does not involve an examination.

A nurse will take your bloods and explain to you how to take your own samples.

This option involves a much shorter waiting time in clinic.  You will be tested for all the same infections as someone who is having an examination.

If this option suits you, select the option on the registration form which says 'I have no symptoms and would like a self-taken STI screen with no genital examination'.

*PLEASE NOTE* Patients still require a ticket to be seen, please see 'coming to see us' for details.

--We are currently CLOSED for STI Walk-ins. Please note that if your GP has referred you to the GUIDe clinic you will be contacted with an appointment.  We kindly ask that you do not attend without an appointment. We are seeing a limited number of STI emergencies that have been given an advance appointment after referral. Patients who have HIV appointments for collection of their medication should attend at their appointment time. The number of patients that are allowed into the department is limited so we will be strictly observing appointment times. GUIDE PrEP patients with upcoming clinic appointments will be contacted by phone and offered a phone consultation. Patients will then be given a new “rapid” appointment slot, to attend for bloods/STI screen/vaccine and to collect prescription. Face to face consults are arranged as required.
